We had a conversation with Sharmi Surianarain, chief impact officer at Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator, a not-for-profit social enterprise that is building African solutions to the global challenge of youth unemployment. Harambee recently received a USD 18 million grant from Co-Impact to scale its impact.

Sharmi outlines why it’s important to take a holistic view to reforming outdated approaches to both education and employment in order to break barriers to youth employment.
