Work Impact
Speech Forces has directly reached over 30 000 people in Africa with a big share of this number coming from Ghana and Nigeria. Their annual speech and debate events, like the Accra Open, bring together young Africans from diverse backgrounds and countries, to develop and engage critical thoughts on tipping issues on the continent. In 2019, Speech Forces worked with the Ghana Union Hamburg on a German Development Cooperation funded project, to educate Ghanaians on irregular migration patterns. The work Speech Forces has done so far is contributing meaningfully to develop thoughtful leadership and active citizens on the continent.
Thoughts on Leadership and Values
After visiting several African countries, Eric has come to the conclusion that, Leadership is everything. Eric believes that followership is crucial too, but the power that comes from leading is really what breaks or makes. With this in mind, Eric believes that the courage that empathy creates, needs to be intentionally cultured in us for leadership to be meaningful in all our lives.
